About Arvinder Singh Lovely

Having first been elected to the Delhi Assembly at the age of 29 in 1998, Arvinder Singh Lovely is a four-time MLA. He’d won the next three elections as well and was in office till 2015.

He’d joined politics as a student when he was studying political science at Khalsa College in Delhi.

The 51-year-old has also served as minister for education, urban development, transport and tourism and has been the president of the state unit of the Congress.

This time, he faces the incumbent MLA Anil Bajpai who had won the 2015 elections with the AAP but is the BJP candidate this time. AAP’s candidate is Naveen Choudhary.
