On the NextElection network you do not 'follow' individuals - you subscribe to curated public channels. Anyone can contribute to a public channel. Your contribution is instantly available to all the channel followers worldwide.
Our network designers designed a new social network model grounds-up to focus on community, collective action and on real issues with inbuilt mechanisms to prevent abusive behavior.
Curated public channels#
We track 10s of thousands of personas, organizations and topics and present them as public channels. Each of the thousands of channels can be opened to see detailed information - news, views, campaigns, events, etc. The feed in each public channel can be viewed in chronological order, or by trending content, or by importance! A public channel is also a valuable internet archive.
Stay updated#
Everything is a channel on the platform - you can subscribe to as many as you like to get updates on that channel in your home feed and via optional notifications.
You can subscribe to a micro-channel like noise pollution in your locality and to a macro-channel like national immigration policy and your favorite local politician and national politician and party and and and... the list is endless.
