AAP presents a handbook for BBMP ward committees

This handbook has been put together, as briefly as possible, with the information needed for taking part effectively in ward committee meetings.

Many residents of Bangalore have worked for years to set up ward committees and make them functional. We have prepared this handbook to support and help them. We have put together, as briefly as possible, the information they need for taking part effectively in ward committee meetings. With the booklet, they can also get started on making a plan for their ward.

We have tried to make the handbook as up-to-date as possible. We will correct it from time to time, whenever policies are changed or new policies made. We will also enter the names of new officers when there are transfers. Budget figures will be altered when a fresh financial year starts in April.

Please write to us to inform us about any updates or additional required information. Together, we can put power in the hands of the people of Bangalore and set up a truly participative democracy in our city.
